Junction Inn Denshaw
Charming Village Pub
From coaching house to Denshaw village pub
The Junction has been at the heart of Denshaw since the late 1700s, first built as a coaching house where weary travellers swapped horses and grabbed a pint before tackling the Pennine roads. Sat proudly at the meeting point of five old turnpike routes, it’s seen centuries of change from cart wheels to car tyres, with even a petrol pump out front in the mid-1900s. After a short closure, the doors swung back open in 2009 and, following a careful refurbishment in 2017, it’s now the cosy, dog-friendly pub you know today. Still stone-built, still full of character, and still doing what it’s always done best: serving good beer, good food and a warm welcome.
