JW Lees Charity of the Year comes to a successful end, ahead of announcing their 2025 - 2026 charity.
JW Lees 2024 – 2025 Charity of the Year has come to end, following our Company Conference last month. Where we proudly presented a cheque for over £21,000 to The Christie Charity, Europe’s leading cancer centres, treating over 60,000 patients a year and driving cutting-edge research to help beat cancer once and for all.
The year comprised of fun and challenging charity activities including the AJ Bell Great Manchester Run, a 136 mile cross-country bike ride, our annual charity golf day, brewery bake sales, Great North Swim in Windermere and many more in-pub charity events.

The funds will contribute to an exciting and truly ground-breaking project: the purchase of a Total Body PETCT Scanner; a state-of-the-art piece of equipment with a total project cost of £7 million.
- There are currently only four scanners in the entire UK, non in the North West.
- Standard scans take up to 30 minutes. A Total Body PET-CT scan takes as little as 5 minutes
- Faster scans making the process more comfort for patients and increased capacity.
- More scans, meaning more vital research data to improve treatments and outcomes.

“At Cold Hands Warm Hearts, we believe everyone deserves a warm meal, a safe place to sleep, and the chance to rebuild their life. We work tirelessly to connect people with the care they need”
Cold Hands Warm Hearts, believe in the power of giving back to those who need it most. Since 2021, they have provided hot meals and sleeping bags to individuals struggling with homelessness.
We will be announcing a calendar of fun and challenging charity events across the next 12 months.
