Boilerhouse 2023
What’s different about The Boilerhouse compared to the main brew house? In the brew house we brew the staples of English ales and perfected lagers – after all, we’ve got years of experience doing it! But it’s not all the same beers, we produce our seasonal range where we use different styles of beer to go with the season of the year. Now, in our microbrewery, we use this to foster a spirit of innovation to experiment with different styles of beer in the craft beer market. What better way to experiment than to do a beer a week?
The Boilerhouse kit itself is truly a dream, shiny silver, brick walls and a particular buzz as you walk through those green doors. Though our brewers have plenty of experience in the existing brew house, our microbrewery is a whole new experience; more physical, more intricate, and more importantly, smaller batches. We brew in 10-barrel batches in The Boilerhouse to amplify flavours and longer the maturation of the beers to create a distinctive craft taste. We’ve already created some outstanding craft beers coming from The Boilerhouse, some of the most popular being Manchester Kolsch, West Coast IPA and last but not least, Craft Pale – which was so good that we had to keep it as a permanent addition to our range.
After an incredible series of collaborations over the last six months with our friends Cloudwater, North, Thornbridge, Salt and Bundobust, we’re onto our next challenge – 1 year, 52 brews…
How does it work? The beers will be released in 4 stages and 1 per week; we start off with the first 13 covering January to March. We know demand for this is high, so please place your preorders as soon as possible to avoid disappointment – open to selected managed pubs, inns and hotels, pub partners and free trade sales too.
