Perfect for a year all about taking action, chasing goals, and embracing bold moves. The Fire element adds passion, intensity and a fast-moving spark, making 2026 a year of daring, dynamic energy.
Our Fire Horse lager captures that spirit in a glass. Made with torrefied rice, a Boilerhouse first, it has a clean, delicate body that lets warming ginger shine. Subtle spice, bright refreshment, and perfect balance honour Asian lager tradition while echoing the energy of the Fire Horse, bold, lively, and full of promise. OUR SMALL-BATCH MICROBREWERY
In a quiet corner of our brewery yard, up a small, clanky metal staircase, is an unassuming green door. Behind it once stood the boiler, now redundant and removed, the steam ceased to billow above the old boiler house. Until now. With the void created by the removal of the boiler tank, we gained space for a different kind of tank and, above all, a space to think. A thirst for experimentation is part of our DNA: lagers in the 50s, Moonraker in the 60s, Harvest Ale in the 80s, and any number of seasonal ales and collaborations more recently. Today, behind that small green door is where we brew our small batch beers. It’s a place to foster that spirit of innovation and to explore distinctive, challenging new beers—brewing them with integrity in just the right amounts. We’re on a mission to experiment with new styles and varieties of beers, but with nearly 200 years of brewing history behind us. This is the next chapter of Greengate Brewery’s story. And when we talk of this initiative, this innovation, it will simply be known as The Boilerhouse.
